This will power over 8,000 homes. Vena Energy has commenced commercial operation for its 31.65 megawatt Maibara Solar Project, located in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture in Japan. In a statement, Vena Energy said the project, built on a former industrial site, is projected to energise approximately 8,560 Japanese households annually, avoiding approximately 18,600 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum. The Maibara Solar Project has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation Clean Energy in February 2024.
